"From Butter to Bloom: A Journey of Sweet Faith"
Since now you're here in my sweet, little corner, gift me the pleasure of introducing a chunk of my story, and so, Butter & Bloom's ; )

I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, surrounded by warmth, vibrant culture, and the simple joys of home-cooked meals. At 14, my family moved to Florida, and as I navigated this new chapter, I found solace in stories and the art of baking. Being homeschooled meant I spent a lot of time on my own. But in that solitude, I found my greatest companions—stories, poetry, and the comforting scent of something sweet baking in the oven. Books became my escape, writing my solace, and baking my joy.​
By the time I was 16, a dream had taken root—a vision of a space where literature, artistry, and desserts intertwined, creating a haven for dreamers, writers, and kindred spirits. I longed for a café or bistro that not only served beautiful, thoughtful pastries but also nurtured creativity and community.
But dreams, like pastries, require time to rise.

Fast forward ten years, and my husband and I found ourselves in the middle of a major career transition—one that left us unemployed, uncertain, and searching for direction. One night, feeling completely overwhelmed yet still holding onto my trust in the Lord, I turned to my Pastor from Su Mesa Café, seeking wisdom and clarity. I poured out my worries, unsure of what to do next, but believing that God had a plan—even if I couldn’t see it yet. Then, in that moment of uncertainty, my Pastor asked me a question—simple, yet powerful—one that would shift the course of my life forever:

"What do you have in your hands?"

In that moment, it was as if a light turned on inside me. What I had on my hands had been there for over a decade—my love for baking, my passion for storytelling, my longing to create something beautiful and meaningful. And so, Butter & Bloom began to unfold—not just as a business, but as a calling.

At Butter & Bloom, every pastry is more than just a treat—it’s a story, a piece of art, a reflection of something deeper. Each order is crafted with care, adorned with poetry, and inspired by the beauty of nature, because I believe that desserts should nourish both the body and the soul. My hope is that every bite brings joy, every verse inspires, and every creation reminds you that beauty is worth savoring.
